50 U.S.C. § 1801(g) (2010) (Title 50—Chapter 36: Foreign Intelligence Surveillance—Subchapter A: Electronic Surveillance)

“Attorney General” [for purposes of FISA] means the Attorney General of the United States (or Acting Attorney General), the Deputy Attorney General, or, upon the designation of the Attorney General, the Assistant Attorney General designated as the Assistant Attorney General for National Security under section 507A of title 28, United States Code.
